Kym is a newcomer to Dunedin and joined Humanimals May 2026. Most of her career has been spent working with kiwi’s, before starting her vet nursing diploma. She started as a wildlife technician before moving into an Emergency and Critical Care nursing role at Massey University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. While this could be a challenging environment, it exposed her to a range of interesting cases which provided great learning opportunities, often with rewarding outcomes. She enjoys working with our small supportive team, as well as getting to know our regular pets and their owners, something not often possible in the emergency clinic setting. Kym, with her rehomed greyhound likes to explore the many walking tracks and beaches in and around Dunedin putting her photography interest and skills to good use.
